Creator Charter
Becoming a creator on AfricaDesign comes with responsibilities. This charter defines submission, quality, and compensation rules.
Last updated : 27 April 20261. Originality of works
You guarantee that you alone are the author of every file submitted, or that you hold all the rights necessary to publish it on AfricaDesign. Any plagiarism, partial or total copy of an existing work, use of paid stock without an extended license, or use of unauthorized AI-generated images leads to the immediate rejection of the file and possible suspension of your account.
2. African theme
AfricaDesign promotes African creativity. Your works must reflect this identity: African contexts, characters, motifs, languages, urban or rural environments. Generic universal works are accepted but not prioritized.
3. Quality requirements
- Source files must be clean: organized layers, named, ungrouped uselessly;
- Editable text (not flattened) when relevant;
- Sufficient resolution: minimum 300 dpi for print, exact dimensions for digital formats;
- Embedded fonts or font names listed in the description;
- Realistic preview reflecting the actual file content.
4. Forbidden content
- Pornographic, hateful, racist, or discriminatory content;
- Defamatory content or content infringing the rights of third parties;
- Visible logos and trademarks without rights;
- Recognizable photos of unauthorized persons (no model release);
- Content promoting illegal activities;
- Files containing malware, viruses, or hidden trackers.
5. Mandatory KYC
Identity verification is required before any submission and before any payout request. You commit to providing genuine, valid documents that match each other (legal name, ID, mobile money number). Any falsification leads to permanent ban without payout.
6. License granted to AfricaDesign
By submitting a file, you grant AfricaDesign a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license — except for the compensation defined in section 7 — to host, display, distribute, and license the file to platform members for the entire duration of publication. You retain ownership of your work and may continue to exploit it elsewhere, including selling it on competing platforms.
You authorize AfricaDesign to use a preview of your work for promotional purposes (homepage, social media, ads) without additional compensation.
7. Compensation (Freepik model)
Compensation is calculated automatically on the 1st of each month according to the following formula:
- Monthly subscription revenue × 50% = creator pool;
- Creator pool ÷ Total subscription downloads of the month = price per download;
- Your earnings = price per download × your subscription downloads of the month.
Free downloads (free pack) do not generate any compensation. Refunded, fraudulent, or pre-rejection downloads are not counted.
8. Payouts
- One payout maximum per month per creator;
- Validated KYC mandatory;
- Minimum amount set by administration (visible on your dashboard);
- Payment via Wave or Orange Money to the number declared during KYC;
- Manual payment, average processing time 5 business days;
- Receipt sent by email with the transaction reference.
9. Moderation
Each submission goes through manual moderation:
- Pending → Approved (online) or Rejected with reason;
- You may correct and resubmit a rejected file;
- Administration reserves the right to unpublish a previously approved file in case of subsequent dispute.
10. Sanctions for violation
- Mild violation: warning by email;
- Repeat or serious violation: temporary suspension of submission rights;
- Critical violation (plagiarism, fraud, falsification): definitive blocking and forfeiture of unpaid earnings.
11. Acceptance
By becoming a creator on AfricaDesign, you acknowledge having read, understood, and accepted this Charter, as well as the Terms of use and the Privacy policy.
